近年来独立话题task2的趋势是越来越倾向于讨论社会现象,甚至是最近热门的社会话题。
往期的话题或小课堂里跟大家分享过一些,比如整容(plastic surgery)、比如去声望很高(high reputation)但学费(tuition fee)很贵的大学的到底值不值。
那今天老师就带大家来看看下面这个大家可能都会考虑的,跟求学以及受教育相关的话题。
首先看一下题目:
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It’s never too old to get a university degree.
这个题里的关键点分别是年龄(age)跟教育(education),也就是too … to…句型之间的部分never too old to get a university degree。所以,讨论的核心就要从受教育及年龄两方面谈,并针对你的论点分析原因。
接下来,就是今天要说的另一个重点:从日常生活出发“编”例子,怎么好说怎么说。
下面给出范例,
Personally, I agree with this statement.(首先亮明观点)
Firstly, due to some financial problems, huge number of people could not go to university when they were young, such as my mum and uncle. Every time they talk about university education, I feel strongly that they regret about not receiving it. Thus, once they have chance, why not going to university and getting a degree? If people have passion about something, like education, it’s never too old to realise their dreams.
Furthermore, taking my elder cousin as an example, he’s around 40 and used to be a blue collar for many years, but 1 year ago, he realised that he was really into calculating, so he went to university again and tried his best to get an undergraduate degree of accounting. He’s my role model owing to his enthusiasm.
Once again, it’s never too late to do something you want.

1.比较好“编”。相较于名人实例更容易上手。
2.更能针对话题及时长灵活把握例子的重点,语言组织相对来说更容易。
