雅思考试的听说读写这几项中，雅思写作是比较难提分的，今天我们来讨论一个雅思大作文：
 

Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

 

这个题目是雅思写作比较高频的一类考题，就是观点类。题目给出一个话题，问题是认同还是不认同。对于这类题我们可以一边倒认同或者不认同，也可以是中立观点，但是建议能写一边倒的话就不要写中立，容易造成含糊表达，重点不明。

 

针对这个题目，大学每个学科男女持平，我们这种大部分同学都是不赞同的，但是我们怎么写出主体段呐？

 

今天我们分析一下思路，首先看出题者的意图，这样出题的目的我们可以猜到是为了gender equality 但是这样做能达到吗？大家试想一下，如果是计算机专业，一个大学招生100人，50个男生50 个女生，那么从申请者数量上看肯定是男生申请者要超过女生申请者，那么如果两个学生有同样的学术能力，谁更能进入这个专业呐？显然是女生，因为申请者少，所以竞争力会小。

 

这样的话学科的选择更多的就是基于性别而不是能力了，这样造成了男女竞争的不公平，更一步 widen gender difference.

 

按这样分析的话我们就可以形成一个主体段：
 

Equaling the number of male and female students in allsubject would cause unfair competition for the selection of university courses.In traditional male-dominated fields of study, like computing or technology,there are more male applicants than females. If there must be the same numberwomen and men in the subject, even with the same academic results, it is moredifficult for men to enroll in this field. The selection of university studentsfor each subject should rely on students’ academic capability, not their genderdifference. Therefore, this educational is not reasonable and it widens thegender difference.
